President's Message

In April 2009, Kyowa Hakko Food Specialties Co., Ltd. and Kirin Food-Tech Company, Limited merged and began operations as the new company, Kirin Kyowa Foods Company, Limited.

Kyowa Hakko Food Specialties Co., Ltd. was a Group company in charge of food product business for Kyowa Hakko Kogyo Co., Ltd. (presently Kyowa Hakko Kirin Co., Ltd.), and Kirin Food-Tech Company, Limited was a Kirin Group company that integrated seasoning and food ingredient operations for Kirin Brewery Company, Limited and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited.　Both companies promoted business development related to foods.

Kirin Kyowa Foods Company, Limited, a merger of both companies, will develop and offer highly functional seasonings and food ingredients by further building on and effectively utilizing our resources, which include the fermentation technologies inherited from “Kyowa Hakko”, “Takeda” and “Kirin”. We believe it is of the utmost importance to meet all of our customer’s needs.

In recent years, there has been a string of incidents that has shaken confidence in the safety and reliability of foods, but we put customer safety and reassurance ahead of everything else. As a food manufacturer, we are constantly striving to maintain the highest level of quality assurance.

Moreover, as a part of the Kirin Group, we are fully aware of our responsibility to society in areas such as compliance and global environmental preservation, and will fulfill our duty as a corporate citizen.
